Year of Entrepreneurship, Science and Innovation launched in Poland
The UK and Poland have launched their joint Year of Entrepreneurship, Science and Innovation (YESI).
The PL-UK Year of Entrepreneurship, Science and Innovation (YESI) was agreed upon during the last round of bilateral intergovernmental consultations held in Warsaw in December 2017. It reflects the innovative and cross-cutting nature of bilateral relations between the UK and Poland.
Numerous joint initiatives, undertaken throughout the year by the British Embassy in Warsaw, British Council Poland and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, present a wide array of examples of Polish-British cooperation in the area of entrepreneurship, research and innovation.
The first event to take place in the frame of YESI was the “Internationalisation of Polish Higher Education” conference held in Gliwice in January 2018, where the UK was presented as a key partner. In March, the Warsaw-London Bridge event was hosted by the British Embassy in Warsaw, promoting innovative Polish and British start-ups. Later in the same month, a series of lectures titled “From Poland with Science” was launched, showcasing and promoting prominent Polish researchers in the UK.
