Zoë Billingham appointed as new Non-Executive Director of the SIA
Zoë Billingham has been appointed a Non-Executive Director of the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Her appointment is effective from 06 December 2021 and she becomes a member of the Board of the SIA. Her tenure will be for three years.
Zoë is a lawyer by background and she brings to the Board a wealth of experience in the oversight of public safety. She has spent much of her career inspecting public services to promote improvement. She was formerly a lead inspector with Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary, Fire and Rescue Services. She served there for 12 years, and she shone a light on all aspects of policing and created the new Fire Inspectorate. She led the Inspectorate’s national work on value for money, mental health and protecting vulnerable people.
Zoë is Chair Designate of Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and a Trustee of SafeLives, a national domestic abuse charity. She is regularly heard on the airways giving insight into policing and security matters.
