Our governance
The Review has an independent chair and an External Advisory Group.
The Review’s independent chair, Sir Hugh Taylor, will make recommendations to government ministers. These recommendations will be informed by input from Professor Sir John Bell and the review’s External Advisory Group. The EAG will have a pivotal role in helping to generate recommendations and championing the review among the public and other stakeholders.
Hearing the voice of patients and ensuring patient trust are both critical. So too is recognition of the key role of research charities as champions. The review will reflect all of this.
