These factsheets give information about taking action on trade, tax and transparency, which are priorities for the UK's Presidency of G8.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

In January 2013 the UK assumed the one-year Presidency of the G8. Leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, USA and UK will meet at Lough Erne in Northern Ireland for the G8 Summit 17-18 June.

PM David Cameron is determined to achieve change on three issues which are critical for growth, prosperity and economic development across the world:

  • advancing trade
  • ensuring tax compliance
  • promoting greater transparency
