About us

Consumer Council for Water (CCW) represents water and sewerage consumers in England and Wales and takes up unresolved complaints.

The Consumer Council for Water (CCW) represents water and sewerage consumers in England and Wales.

We provide a strong national voice for consumers. We have offices throughout England and Wales so that we can keep in close contact with companies that provide water and sewerage services, and with consumers themselves.

Our job is to make sure that the consumers’ collective voice is heard in national water debate and that consumers remain at the heart of the water industry.

We will also take up consumers’ complaints if they have tried and failed to resolve issues with their water companies. We aim to settle 70% of complaints within 20 working days and settle 85% within 40 working days. Since CCW was formed we have been highly successful in achieving these aims.
