Police Arbitration Tribunal

The Police Arbitration Tribunal (PAT) acts under the arbitration service Acas as the final recourse for negotiations between employers of police and police staff on which no agreement can be reached about hours of duty, leave or pay and allowances. The Home Secretary is not bound by the recommendations of the PAT.
