Aisling Conboy
Biography
Aisling Conboy is a Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner. Aisling is a Senior Programme Director at Wilton Park, an executive agency of the UK Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, where she convenes dialogues on trade, diplomacy, and education.
Aisling is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). She also serves on the Chevening reading panels and is a Fulbright Summer Institutes panel member.
Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner
Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioners are responsible for:
- ensuring that the CSC fulfils the aims and objectives set by FCDO
- promoting the efficient and effective use of staff and other resources by the CSC
- ensuring that individuals are selected for Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships on merit and on the basis of clear criteria which reflect the objectives of FCDO and, where appropriate, other sponsoring departments
