Alexander MacGill
Biography
Alexander ‘Mac’ MacGill joined Dounreay in October 2018 having spent the 3 years as the principle consultant and director of an executive management consultancy. Previously, he enjoyed a diverse military career spanning command, leadership and management appointments of military engineering, defence procurement, training and operations.
With a commando, parachute and explosive ordnance disposal and search engineering background, he spent considerable time overseas in command appointments on operations. As a military staff officer he had the privilege of being a chief of staff within defence equipment and support, and the joint force engineer in Kenya responsible for developing UK and overseas forces for operations during a period of digitalisation transformational change.
