Dr Alison Campbell OBE

Biography

Dr Alison Campbell OBE was appointed as Chief Executive of the Government Office for Technology Transfer (GOTT) in April 2022.

Alison was previously Director of Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI), the organisation responsible for developing Ireland’s national knowledge and technology transfer system.

She brings over 20 years of experience in the field, having started her career in the biotech industry and since serving as interim CEO of the Medical Research Council’s technology transfer company (MRCT) and leading technology transfer and research support at King’s College London.

Alison’s contributions to the knowledge transfer profession include serving as Chair of the Board at AUTM (the US based international association) and as founder and past Chair of ATTP - the body which sets standards for the profession. She was also a founding director of Praxis (now PraxisAuril).

She was awarded an OBE in 2010 in recognition of her contribution to Knowledge Transfer. In 2018 she received the Global University Venturing Lifetime Achievement Award.

Together they help public sector organisations to realise the potential of their knowledge assets by providing guidance on policy and practice, funding and incentives.
