Alun Evans CBE
Biography
Alun Evans was, for over thirty years, a civil servant including twenty years in the senior civil service, and he worked in a wide a range of government departments including at No.10. He was Head of the UK Government’s Scotland Office during the 2014 referendum on Scottish independence. From 2015-2019 he was Chief Executive of the British Academy, following which he completed his PhD on the history of Private Office at Queen Mary University of London. Since 2020 he has been a writer and a political consultant. He is a non-Executive Director of the Wales Office.
