Andrew Thomson
Biography
Andrew Thomson has been Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy N’Djamena since July 2023.
Andrew has previously served in a number of diplomatic and corporate roles in the FCDO, as well as in the private sector. These include work on international HR, resourcing policy, marketing and translation. Prior to Chad, Andrew was working as Chief of Staff to the Europe Director.
Deputy Head of Mission, Chad
The Deputy Head of Mission is a key function for the Embassy and an important advisor to the Ambassador. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of the post and represents the UK’s interests in the absence of the Ambassador as Chargé d’Affaires.
