Biography
Andy Brittain is the Director General for Finance at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). He joined the department on 10 August 2020.
His previous roles include:
- Finance Director at DHSC
- Finance and Programme Director for the Defence Nuclear Organisation
- Finance Director for the Royal Air Force
- Project Director for Rail Franchise Competition at the Department for Transport

As part of DHSC’s senior leadership team, the Director General is responsible for ensuring financial accountability of the health and social care system.
