Andy King
Biography
Andy is Chief Operating Officer at Defence Business Services (DBS) within the Ministry of Defence (MOD). He leads the DBS Executive Team and wider organisation to deliver a complex and broad range of services for Defence. These include Defence’s core shared services, as well as specialist services for the MOD, military and veteran communities. Andy is also Head of Operational Delivery Profession for Defence.
Andy has worked at DBS since late 2023. Prior to that he was Operations Delivery Director at the Rural Payments Agency within Defra, overseeing the delivery of customer, grants, livestock, trade, regulatory and other services to rural communities and part of its Executive Team.
Previously, he held positions at the Environment Agency, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency and the Home Office. His experience includes leadership roles in national customer, business operations, regulatory and enforcement settings.
