Mr. Angus McKee

Biography

Mr Angus McKee OBE is His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Mali. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2000 as a Research Analyst for the Middle East and North Africa.  He has previously served in several roles in the UK and overseas, including as Deputy Head of Mission in Damascus, HM Consul-General to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Deputy Head of Mission in Tripoli, and Head of the FCDO’s Intelligence Policy Department.  He is a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies (2017).

The Ambassador represents His Majesty The King and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the embassy and its consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and consular services.
