Anna Macmillan
Biography
Anna was appointed Director (Communications) of the Scotland Office in December 2018. Following graduation from Glasgow University, Anna spent time in Japan and has worked for a number of government departments, including as a Special Adviser in the Home Office and as Deputy Director, Communications at Ofsted. She has also worked in the Mayor of London’s press office and in the charity sector.
Deputy Director, Communications
The Deputy Director, Communications, is responsible for:
- Advising ministers on communications matters
- Running an integrated and forward-looking communications team
- Communicating the activity of the department
- Working across the UK Government to support announcements and events in Scotland
