Brendan Connor JP
Biography
Following service in the Royal Navy and Civil Service(UKAEA and ACAS), Brendan held a number of senior management posts in the Engineering Employers Federation, Lucas Industries plc and TRW specialising in the aerospace and automotive sectors. He was Chief Executive Officer of Cosworth Racing Ltd between 2001 and 2004 supplying Formula 1 and other major motorsport series. Brendan is currently Chairman of CENEX (The Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies) based at Loughborough University. He is Deputy Chairman of Trustees of Royal Air Force Museum, and Chairman of Midlands Air Ambulance charity. He is a Non Executive Member of the West Midlands Strategic Police and Crime Board, having formerly served as an Independent Member of West Midlands Police Authority. He is a magistrate and Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands. He was educated at Leeds University and Bradford University Management Centre. He lives near Coventry and is married with two daughters.
