Catriona Mace
Biography
Catriona Mace took up her role as Foreign and Development Policy Director at the UK Mission to the European Union in August 2022.
Before that, Catriona was Deputy Director Corporate Transformation in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (2021 to 2022) and Deputy Director Negotiations and Readiness Co-ordination in Europe Directorate at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (2019 to 2020).
Catriona has held a number of posts at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO). She was Head of the Africa Team at the UK Mission to the UN in New York (2010 to 2013), having previously led the FCO Africa Strategy Unit. Catriona also served at the UK Representation to the European Union in 2004 to 2007.
Catriona joined the FCO after working in the Office of the High Representative in Sarajevo.
She is married to Colm; they have 2 school-age children, one of whom has a disability.
