Claire Bruce MBE
Biography
Claire Bruce took up post as Deputy High Commissioner in Belmopan in October 2017. Claire moved to Belmopan from New Delhi, India where she worked for the UK’s Defence and Security Organisation.
Claire started her Diplomatic career in 2002 and has previously worked on National Security, Terrorism, Iraq policy, Human Resources and in a Ministerial Private Office. Her other overseas postings have been to Baghdad, Islamabad and Erbil, Iraq where she was Deputy Consul General.
Before India, Claire was the Middle East Policy Adviser, in the National Security Secretariat at the Cabinet Office, where she was awarded the Member of the British Empire (MBE) for services to National Security in particular the destruction of chemical weapons (Syria).
