Colin Barratt
Biography
Colin arrived in the Solomon Islands in January 2012.
Career at Foreign & Commonwealth Office
He joined the Foreign Office in 1996 as Assistant Administrator to the British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT) and was Vice Consul in the Gambia (1999-2002) and Head of Inward Investment in Istanbul (2003-2006). He has also spent time at the UK Mission to the United Nations in New York and at the British Embassy in Madagascar.
In London he has worked in various departments, including UN peacekeeping, export promotion and estates and security and has been on Rapid Deployment missions to France, Cairo, Libya and Tokyo.
