Craig Ashton
Biography
Craig has more than 20 years’ experience working across operational, strategic and programme roles at Sellafield Ltd, LLW Repository Ltd (LLWR) and Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). He is a Chartered Environmentalist and Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
He was instrumental in establishing the waste diversion services at LLWR before taking overall leadership of the Waste Management Services department.
This was followed by a secondment to the NDA where he led the implementation of the new Magnox reactor decommissioning strategy and assurance of both the Magnox and Dounreay lifetime plans, which he continues to do.
He returned to LLWR when it became an NDA subsidiary in July 2021.
