David Bickerton
Biography
David Bickerton became the Chief Strategic Business Adviser at the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in January 2025. He was previously Director General for Business Group at DBT from February 2023 to December 2024. Prior to that, he was Director General for Business Sectors at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) from 2 August 2021 to 7 February 2023.
Before joining BEIS, David was a Partner at Clifford Chance in the UK. He was the Managing Partner for London and the Middle East. He also led the law firm’s public sector practice and their work for the UK government.
