David Prince CBE
Biography
David was appointed as a member of the Committee on Standards in Public Life on 1 June 2009 and was reappointed on 17 May 2012. While his term was due to end on 31 May 2015, his membership has been extended until the end of July so that work on the Committee’s local policing inquiry can be completed.
He holds non-executive independent appointments as lay member of the General Social Care Council, member of Leicestershire Police Authority and member of the performance and best value committee of the Bar Standards Board.
His previous roles include:
- Chief Executive of the Standards Board for England
- Managing Director, Strategy and Resources and District Audit at the Audit Commission
- Chief Executive of Leicestershire County Council
- Director of Finance and Administration of Cambridge County Council
