Debbie Asbury
Biography
Debbie joined BDUK in April 2019 and is Director for Finance and HR. Her responsibilities include managing all of the resource and funding requirements for BDUK.
Debbie is a qualified accountant and joined the Civil Service 13 years ago, having previously spent her career gaining knowledge and experience across a number of different sectors, including as Head of Finance at Cancer Research UK.
Most recently she has been the Deputy Director for Finance at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) where she was responsible for finance business partnering for DCMS and all its arms length Bodies as well as strategic finance. Prior to that she was Senior Finance Business Partner at the Department for Work and Pensions for 6 years where she ran a number of different teams across the finance function.
Director for Finance and Human Resources
The Director for Finance and Human Resources is responsible for BDUK’s Human Resources and Finance functions and manages all of the resource and funding requirements for BDUK.
