Biography

Derek took up his appointment as Acting Consul-General in Ekaterinburg on 29 March 2018. He is a career diplomat, who has undertaken a range of jobs in the UK and around the world including:

2013	British High Commission Accra, Entry Clearance Manager
2011	FCO, Desk Officer Russia Section, Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate
2005	FCO, Learning and Development Officer, Consular Directorate
2002	British Embassy Baku, Vice Consul
