Donald Shepherd
Biography
Donald Shepherd was appointed Interim Finance and Commercial Director at PHE in July 2019 and is responsible for finance, estates, procurement, business development, ICT and Digital services.
Donald was previously Deputy Director of Finance for PHE from its inception, heading up the financial management function. Before joining PHE, Donald held various senior finance positions within the NHS after starting his accountancy career in general practice.
Donald holds a BA (Hons) in economics and accountancy and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The Finance and Commercial Director is responsible for Public Health England’s commercial functions and financial strategy, planning and management.
