Edmund Knollys
Biography
Edmund is People Director at the UK Space Agency. He provides Human Resources (HR) advice to the Agency executive committee and senior leadership team and leads on the Agency’s People Strategy to provide senior oversight for all people related activity in the delivery of the Agency’s business priorities.
Edmund joined the Agency in February 2022 as Head of HR Operations and now leads our People Team, responsible for all aspects of employment, employee lifecycle (including recruitment, pay and reward), engagement and experience, and learning and development. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and has worked in the Civil Service for over 30 years, mostly in HR policy, business partnering and change management roles.
After qualifying as an HR professional while working in the Metropolitan Police, Edmund has worked in various departments including HM Revenue & Customs, the Department for International Development and the National Probation Directorate.
Director of People
The director is responsible for providing strategic HR advice to Agency teams and leading on the work to deliver the Agency’s People Strategy, supporting delivery of priority business outcomes and enabling the Agency to achieve its ambitions for the future, both within the Civil Service and across the Space Sector.
