Elizabeth Hambley

Biography

Elizabeth is the Director General for GLD’s Commercial with Trade and International Directorate.

Her previous Government Legal Department roles include:

• Legal Director for Defra, 2019 to 2020

• Legal Director for Energy and Climate Change at BEIS, 2017 to 2019

• Legal Director for DCMS, 2013 to 2017

Elizabeth was the Deputy Director of the broadcasting, media and telecoms legal team in DCMS between 2012 and 2013, and prior to that held Deputy Director posts leading the legal teams in both the Efficiency & Reform Group in the Cabinet Office, and the Office of Government Commerce.
