Professor Emma Borg
Biography
Emma is a Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, School of Advanced Studies, University of London, specialising in philosophy of mind and language, cognitive science, and business ethics.
Emma held a British Academy Special Research Grant Covid-19 scheme Award for ‘Reshaping relations between the state and the private sector post-COVID-19’ and she recently completed a Leverhulme Trust three-year Major Research Fellowship on reasons and rationality.
Her work in business ethics includes investigating the causes of the 2007 to 2008 financial crisis and exploring how society should respond to corporate scandals in general.
Her research in this area demonstrated professional expertise in ethical thinking and decision making, and aimed to improve standards and organisational outcomes.
