Graham Jagger

Biography

Graham Jagger is a graduate HR professional with more than 35 years management and consultancy experience in both public and private sector organisations in the UK and overseas, the last 18 years of which have been in the healthcare sector in the UK and Ireland. A former NHS Trust HR Director with Board level accountability for workforce management, policy and strategy he has previously held a range of senior management roles in the NHS at hospital, regional and national levels responsible for workforce planning, education and development and for pay modernisation, service improvement and change management, ( including the development and implementation of the national Agenda for Change pay and careers framework). He joined the NHS at Papworth Hospital from IBEC, the Irish national employers organisation where, as Director of Employee Relations Services he was responsible for advising member companies and public organisation on pay strategy and the design and introduction of new pay systems. Previously he was responsible for employee relations at corporate and operations levels in the manufacturing, mining and international ports sectors and subsequently had 5 years public sector consultancy project management experience with the PA Consulting Group in Cambridge. Since retiring from the NHS he has been engaged in the UK and abroad in HR consultancy work in the areas of organisation change, pay and pensions. He is also a Lay Partner with the General Medical Council; a Member of the East of England ACCEA Regional Committee; and is Chair and Lead Trustee of the Cambridge and District Community Mediation Service.
