Harriet Kemp
Biography
Harriet has experience across a wide range of executive, non-executive and chair roles, across public, private and not for profit sectors. She has a background as a senior HR leader specialising in remuneration, spanning some 30 years, including working at Compass plc, Novartis and Pepsi.
Harriet is a Board member and Chair of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a Trustee of Hamwic Educational Trust and a member of the School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB) alongside other board non-exec roles.

Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Non-executive Board member
Appointed: 1 September 2024 Term end: 29 February 2028
Non-executive Director
Non-Executive Directors are members of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s Board.
The Board:
- monitors the NDA’s performance and directs its business effectively, including playing an active role in stakeholder relations
- receives frequent updates on the NDA’s financial position, forecasts and sensitivities
- ensures that a balanced assessment of performance is reported to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and regularly debates the main (corporate strategic) risks facing the NDA
STRB Member
The function of STRB is to consider matters referred to it by the Secretary of State for the Department for Education (DfE) in relation to the remuneration, professional duties or working time of school teachers in England. The Secretary of State can refer matters to STRB at any time. STRB reports to the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Education.
