Helene Reardon-Bond OBE
Biography
Helene Reardon-Bond was appointed Interim Director of the Government Equalities Office in April 2016. She is responsible for the equality strategy and legislation across government.
Previously, Helene led on gender equality policy and was responsible for a number of high profile programs and campaigns including:
- gender pay gap reporting regulations
- same sex marriage
- violence against women and girls
- maternity rights
- online abuse
- encouraging diversity in public life
Helene also led on the UK’s EU and international commitments on gender and equality including The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
Helene was awarded an OBE in 2008 for her work in the public and voluntary sector.
