Iain Osborne
Biography
Iain Osborne was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at Monitor on 19 May 2014.
He is also Group Director for regulatory policy at the Civil Aviation Authority, and is an experienced regulatory expert having held senior roles in 6 regulated sectors, privately and publicly funded, at EU, national and regional levels.
His previous roles include:
- Chief Executive of Northern Ireland’s energy and water regulator
- secondment to the European Commission’s competition directorate
- strategy director to a pan-European telecoms company
Non-Executive Director, Monitor
Monitor is the sector regulator for health services in England and its job is to protect and promote the interests of patients.
Monitor’s board sets our strategy and agrees how operational decisions are taken.
