Mr Ian Davidson
Biography
Ian Davidson is Head of Agriculture Policy Division within the Agriculture and Rural Economy Directorate in Scottish Government. Ian has responsibility for the Scottish Rural Development Programme, current CAP Pillar 1 policy, Agricultural Holdings legislation, GM policy, Climate Change in Agriculture Policy, Crofting Policy and the Scottish Agricultural Wages Board. Ian has long experience in policy and delivery having previously held posts in developing the current CAP in Scotland and also in the Area Office network as part of the RPID.
UKCB Board Member for the Scottish Government
The UK Co-ordinating Body Management Board includes a representative of each of the 4 departments that own UKCB:
- the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
- the Welsh Government
- the Scottish Government
- the Northern Ireland Executive
The chairmanship of the Board rotates between the 4 representatives.
