Joanne Bryson
Biography
Joanne joined the Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) in September 2022 as Director of Audit for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Prior to joining the GIAA, Joanne was Director of Audit within AuditOne, an NHS internal audit consortium where she was responsible for providing audit and assurance services to a range of large NHS Foundation Trusts and Ambulance services. Joanne was also the corporate lead for quality and performance.
Prior to this Joanne held various internal audit and quality roles in local government and the higher education sectors. Joanne is a qualified CIPFA accountant and also holds the CMIA professional qualification. Outside of work Joanne is the Chair of an Audit Committee at a further education college.
