Laura Crawforth

Biography

Laura Crawforth took up the post of Deputy Director Constitutional Policy and further devolution in September 2014. Prior to that Laura held a number of posts in the Scotland Office from 2006: working with the Calman Commission; Bill Manager for the Scotland Act 2012; and leading the UK Government work to support the delivery of the Independence Referendum.

Before joining the Scotland Office, Laura worked in the Ministry for Justice as part of the central team overseeing the introduction in 2005 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, providing support to UK Government departments responding to requests for information, including contentious, challenging and round robin requests.

The Deputy Director, Corporate Services is responsible for:

  • Departmental strategy including business planning and performance management
  • Corporate Services including corporate governance, HR, finance, accommodation, IT and information management
