Professor Liz Baggs
Biography
Professor Liz Baggs is a Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner. Liz is Chair of Food and Environmental Security and Deputy Dean of Research for Strategic Change in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. She is also Deputy Director of the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of Edinburgh.
Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner
Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioners are responsible for:
- ensuring that the CSC fulfils the aims and objectives set by FCDO
- promoting the efficient and effective use of staff and other resources by the CSC
- ensuring that individuals are selected for Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships on merit and on the basis of clear criteria which reflect the objectives of FCDO and, where appropriate, other sponsoring departments
