Lorraine Jackson CBE

Biography

Lorraine Jackson CBE is Director, Joint Work and Health at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Lorraine has been at DHSC since September 2009.

Lorraine is the DHSC Race Champion, senior lead for the DHSC Leeds location and has been a member of DHSC’s Executive Committee since June 2021.

Lorraine’s previous roles in the department include:

  • Director, Information Risk Management and Assurance
  • Deputy Director, Health - Joint Work and Health Unit
  • Deputy Director, Data Policy
  • Deputy Director, Dementia Policy

Director, Joint Work and Health

The Joint Work and Health directorate is a cross-government unit, jointly sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care. It works across government and the wider public sector to develop employment and health solutions.

The director is responsible for improving the health and employment outcomes for disabled people and those with health conditions.
