Lucy Livings
Biography
Lucy Livings started her role as Regional Director for South-West in January 2024.
Prior to this Lucy was Deputy Director within the south-west region from 2019. Lucy is an experienced civil servant with a broad range of experience including:
- posts within the Department for International Development in Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, and in the conflict and nutrition policy teams
- a 3-year secondment to the USA as Senior Advisor to the UK Executive Director of the World Bank
- several years in Private Office working for three different Permanent Secretaries
Regional Director for South West
The Regional Director for South West is responsible for working locally across children’s social care, SEND, schools and area-based programmes to improve outcomes for children, families and learners. They are responsible for making decisions in the following local authorities:
- Bath and North East Somerset
- Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
- Bristol, City of
- Cornwall
- Devon
- Dorset
- Gloucestershire
- Isles Of Scilly
- North Somerset
- Plymouth
- Somerset
- South Gloucestershire
- Swindon
- Torbay
- Wiltshire
