Mal Green
Biography
Mal Green is His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Uruguay.
Mal joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 2001 and has carried out a variety of roles in London and abroad, most recently as Deputy Director for Africa, focussing on Sudan, South Sudan and Sahel. Mal has previously served in Argentina, Chile and UK’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

The Ambassador represents His Majesty The King and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the Embassy and its Consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
