Biography
Mal Singh was appointed as BPDTS’s Chief Financial Officer on 1 April 2019.
Mal also sits on the BPDTS Board of Directors.
Chief Financial Officer
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for:
- providing high quality financial management support – including planning, performance and risk management advice
- financial reporting; through production of accurate and timely annual financial statements, monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets
- accurate and timely management information to support sound decision-making and the effective management of resources
- compliance with all external reporting requirements, including submission of statutory accounts, tax returns and Companies House returns
- working closely with internal and external audit to make sure we deliver high quality services in a planned, efficient and effective manner
- achieving value for money across all areas of spend and making sure we have appropriate mechanisms to efficiently manage and recover our costs
- managing and reporting against our business plan outputs and planned programme deliverables
- facilitate outputs and compile reports as required by the Executive Team for BPDTS boards and committees
- assist with fact finding, research and investigations for various returns required by DWP, Cabinet Office and Auditors
- maintaining and developing workforce plans, objectives and risks
- managing aspects of business continuity and contingency planning
- organising and managing secretariat and general administrative support
