Matthew Style was appointed Director General, Secondary Care and Integration (previously known as NHS Policy and Performance) in November 2021.
His previous roles include:
- Deputy CFO at NHS England and NHS Improvement
- Director of Local Government Finance (including adult social care) at the Department for Communities and Local Government
- Deputy Director, Public Services and Head of the Health and Social Care Team at HM Treasury
- Private Secretary to the Prime Minister
Director General, Secondary Care and Integration
Part of the Department of Health and Social Care’s senior leadership team, the Director General is responsible for leading on all matters relating to NHS policy and performance in the department.
