Dr Mina Golshan CBE
Biography
Mina joined Sizewell C in July 2021 and is an Executive Director on the SZC GenCo Board.
Between 2008 and 2021, Mina held various positions in Office for Nuclear Regulation including since 2015, as ONR’s Deputy Chief Inspector and Director responsible for regulation of a diverse portfolio including the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s (NDA) sites. During this period, appointed by the Government and ONR as SRO, she established the UK Safeguards office in ONR, following UK’s exit from the EURATOM treaty.
Prior to ONR, Mina held a range of academic, operational and safety positions within private and public sectors including in Science and Technologies Facilities Council, responsible for operation of a state of the art facility.
Mina has held leading positions within the nuclear decommissioning and waste management sector including Vice President of the Joint Convention on the safety of spent fuel and radioactive waste.
In 2021, she was awarded a CBE for services to nuclear regulation.
Mina holds a PhD in Physics from University of London.
