Biography
Neil has been Chief Executive of Cefas since February 2021. Prior to taking up this post Neil had a range of senior roles in central government, including most recently as Marine and Fisheries Director in Defra. Previous roles included responsibility for floods policy and nuclear energy.

Cefas’ CEO is appointed by Defra and is the agency’s accounting officer. He is responsible for the overall leadership of Cefas.
