Nicholas (Nick) Alexander

Biography

Nick Alexander has been Deputy Head of Mission since August 2011.

Nick joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1989. He has previously served in:

• 2009 – 2011 Deputy Head, HR Operations, HRD (HR Managers & Local Staff Policy), FCO, London
• 2008 - 2009 Burma Co-ordinator and Deputy Head, South East Asia and Pacific Group (SEAPG), FCO
• 2006 - 2008 Team Leader, Mekong and Burma Team, SEAPG, FCO
• 2001 - 2005 First Secretary (Political/External), British Embassv, Berlin
• 2000 - 2001 Desk Officer, European Union Department (External) – EU – Russia and other CIS states
• 1997 - 2000 Third Secretary (Political), Copenhagen
• 1992 – 1996 Vice Consul/ECO, Budapest
