Nick Fishwick

Biography

Nick Fishwick was appointed as a non-executive member of the HMCTS Board in January 2024 and is also a member of the HMCTS Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.

Nick has an extensive foreign affairs background, having worked at senior levels for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for over 25 years. From 1984 he served in Nigeria, Turkey and Afghanistan as well as in the UK, retiring as a Director General in 2012.

From 2013 to 2024, Nick advised HSBC (including six years as a non-executive director for HSBC Latin America) focusing on the management of financial crime, security, cyber and related risks. Nick is also an adviser for Quantinuum and is a trustee of Stop the Traffik.
