Biography
Nicola Hirst was appointed as Service Delivery Director on 3 January 2023. Nicola has a long history in operations and service delivery within APHA and across the Defra landscape.
Service Delivery Director
The Service Delivery Director is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of APHA’s operational service delivery for animal, plant, and bee health.
This includes oversight of the UK trade and exports in animal and plant products. The Service Delivery Director also has day-to-day management of disease outbreak, coordinating critical national resources and leading the agency’s outbreak response.
