Noel Shanahan CB

Biography

Noel Shanahan was appointed Director General, Operations at the Department for Work and Pensions on 1 October 2012. Before this he was Commissioner and Chief Executive of the Child Maintenance Enforcement Commission.

Noel has also been Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and Director of Organisational Change at the Department for Transport.

Noel has also led change programmes in the private sector, including for Virgin Media and Cable and Wireless.
