Oliver Munn

Biography

Oliver Munn is a non-executive director of the Planning Inspectorate. He was appointed by the Secretary of State to a three-year term ending 30 September 2026.

He brings to the Planning Inspectorate a record of helping organisations modernise and transform their operations. He currently works for Faculty, a UK-based artificial intelligence company, as Director of AI Capability. 

A former senior civil servant, he served as the UK Health Security Agency’s Director General Health Protection Operations from 2022 to 2024, where he led a modernisation programme that upgraded IT systems and streamlined manual processes, improving the experience of users and staff. He had previously worked at the Cabinet Office where he was Director of Testing and Tracing Delivery in the COVID-19 Task Force from April 2020 to March 2022. 

Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey and Company, a management consulting firm, helping public and private sector organisations to modernise and transform their operations.
