Patricia F Gallan QPM

Biography

Patricia Gallan was appointed senior independent director of the Trade Remedies Authority in June 2021. She is also a non-executive director for His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

A former police officer, she was Assistant Commissioner Specialist Crime and Operations of the of the Metropolitan Police Service, retiring in 2018. She previously served as Deputy Assistant Commissioner (Specialist Operations – Security and Protection) and also Deputy Assistant Commissioner (Professionalism) from 2012 to 2015. She was Assistant Chief Constable Operations Support of Merseyside Police from February 2006 to 2012 and also served as temporary Deputy Chief Constable of the force between October 2009 to February 2010. She was Assistant Chief Constable at the National Crime Squad from January 2005 to February 2006.

Now retired from policing, Patricia is Chair of Governors at an East London Infant & Junior School and is a Trustee of Draper’s Multi Academy Trust. She is also an external member of the Council of Queen Mary, University of London.
