Professor Paul Cullinan
Biography
Professor Paul Cullinan qualified in medicine from Guy’s Hospital (University of London) in 1982. He trained in respiratory medicine in England, and in epidemiology and biostatistics at McGill University in Montreal.
He works as an academic respiratory physician at Imperial College and Royal Brompton hospital in London with a special interest in the effects of work on the lungs. He leads the UK’s busiest clinical service for the management of individuals who may have an occupational respiratory disease. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
For ten years, until 2018, he chaired the Research Working Group at the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council (DWP); and, since 2017, has been a member of the Workplace Expert Health Committee at the Health and Safety Executive.
He has an active research programme; and is a principal investigator on the ADVANCE study.
